BUSINESS CHALLENGE
The Client was looking to bring in automation in the build-and-deploy environments to reduce costs and add governance. The challenge in the adoption process was due to the complexity, and template creation was difficult and time consuming.
Mphasis brought in automated deployments via Azure DevOps pipelines, and introduced the branching policies feature of Azure DevOps to enforce access and approvals.
The Mphasis team adopted GraphQL for fast deployments and templates for reusability, and overcame the adoption process with necessary documentation of policies and procedures, and comprehensive training.
Issues were identified early and fixed with the introduction of ‘shift-left’ approach for QA and security. Quality gates were added as checkpoints, and appropriate approvals were injected in the pipelines.
The Mphasis solution delivered faster end-to-end deployments improving deployment times by 35%.
